The Gospel
At some point in life, many of us find ourselves at rock bottom. We reach the end of ourselves and are left searching for something more. Depression, anxiety, anger, loneliness, addiction, shame. We chase things that promise relief but leave us emptier than before. For a moment they numb the pain, but they never heal the wound.
Jesus sees that pain.
He sees every tear, every regret, every burden we carry. He knows the thoughts we never speak aloud and the battles we fight behind closed doors. We are never hidden from Him, and we are never alone.
The good news of the Gospel begins with a simple truth: God loves us.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16
The weight of those words is greater than we can fully comprehend. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. He took upon Himself the punishment we deserved so that we could receive forgiveness, freedom, and eternal life. Through His sacrifice, our guilt can be washed away, our shame removed, and our brokenness made whole.
Without God, we spend our lives searching for peace in places that can never provide it. The pleasures of this world may distract us for a season, but they cannot satisfy the deepest longing of the human heart.
Jesus willingly endured suffering, rejection, and death on our behalf. Yet death could not hold Him. On the third day He rose from the grave, proving that sin had been defeated, the debt had been paid, and eternal life was available to all who would trust in Him.
His resurrection changes everything.
Through Him, we are given a new life. The old self dies, and a new creation is born. What was once lost can be found. What was once broken can be restored.
There is nothing in this world that compares to knowing Him.
If you feel God calling you, don't ignore His voice. Turn to Him. Seek Him. Humble yourself before Him and trust in the salvation He freely offers through His Son.
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
Of the few things I can say with complete confidence, this is one of them:
Everything we surrender to Him is worth it.
